Children’s Hours offers science to even the youngest in our school. Students receive instruction once a week, either as a class or mixed into a multiage group for expanded learning.  The children explore and learn about the world around them.

Lessons cover a range of topics from bat habitats to how we digest our food. We believe in a hands on approach to learning and so the children are not just told about what makes some things happen they get to “be” it. They are rain drops when we learn about the water cycle, they are leaves when we learn about the seasons, and they are red blood cells when we learn about the body.

The children are wonderful scientists and parents are always amazed at just what they understand. Science is just a piece of what makes Children’s hours unique.
